Cube practice timer

Turn your next cube solve into useful practice. Time solves, review your history and follow your progress with CubeAlgo.

Practise cube solves in your browser

CubeAlgo Web includes a puzzle practice timer with training scrambles, optional 15-second inspection, penalties and solve history. Choose your puzzle in Practice, then start a session. The timer and algorithm library share the same browser workspace.

How to use the web timer

  1. Open Practice, choose Puzzle Practice and select your puzzle.
  2. Apply the displayed training scramble. Adjust inspection in the session options if you want to use it.
  3. On a keyboard, hold Space for 350 ms, then release to start. Press Space to stop. On a touch screen, tap the timer.
  4. Review the recorded time and apply a +2 or DNF penalty when needed.

With inspection enabled, start before 15 seconds. The timer applies +2 from 15 seconds and DNF from 17 seconds.

Understand your practice statistics

A single fast solve does not tell the whole story. Use your solve history, trend and statistics to compare sessions and spot cases that deserve more attention. CubeAlgo displays measures including mean, median, standard deviation and averages when enough solves are available.

For focused repetitions, choose Algorithm Practice and an available set. Some practice modes, including F2L, require CubeAlgo Pro and the access password in the web app.

Keep your workspace accessible

Web solve history is saved to a server-based workspace identified by this browser’s essential cookie. Export a backup in Settings before changing browsers or clearing cookies. The web app does not automatically sync practice history with the iOS app.

Scrambles are provided for training. CubeAlgo Web is a practice tool; this page does not claim official competition certification.
