Privacy Policy
CubeAlgo - iOS
Personal Information
CubeAlgo does not collect or store identifying personal details, such as your name or email address.
CubeAlgo stores your learning status, chosen algorithms, custom alternative algorithms, diagram preferences, and practice history on your device. Practice records can include solve times, dates, puzzle and case identifiers, scrambles, selected solutions, image settings, and penalties. The app uses this information to remember your choices, display learning progress, and provide practice statistics.
Appearance preferences and practice settings are stored locally on each device. Algorithm validation and cube visualisation run on your device. CubeAlgo does not require a separate CubeAlgo account, your name, or your email address to use its core features. It does not contain advertising or a third-party analytics SDK, and we do not sell your practice information or use it to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Supported practice data and algorithm preferences may sync through Apple's iCloud service when iCloud is available.
Privacy Policy Terms
This policy explains how CubeAlgo handles your information. Using the app does not waive your privacy rights or, by itself, provide consent to every use of your information described here. Where consent is required by law, we will explain the purpose and request your consent separately. Updates to this policy will be posted on this page.
CubeAlgo - Web
Personal Information
The web version of CubeAlgo saves your preferences, learning progress, algorithm notes, custom solutions and solve history in a server database so it can restore your workspace. You do not currently need to provide a name or email address to use the web app.
Cookies and Browser Storage
An essential cookie identifies your web workspace and has a one-year expiry. Browser storage also remembers whether the sidebar is open. The web app currently has no sign-in or automatic syncing with the iOS app or other browsers. Clearing the cookie can prevent you from accessing your saved workspace; it does not delete the server data.
Hosting and Third-Party Services
We use third-party cloud infrastructure to host the website and web app. Information is processed by our hosting providers to operate these services. Hosting providers may process connection and operational logs to run their services.
Your Data and Retention
Use Settings → Export backup to download your web data. You can edit your saved entries in the app. Import backup replaces the current workspace with a web backup. Reset workspace clears saved preferences, progress, notes, custom solutions and solve history from the live database; it retains the browser profile identifier and its creation date.
